A somatic breathwork method for coming into deeper contact with yourself.

SOULBODY BREATH® brings together conscious breathing, body awareness, meditation and expression within one guided journey.  The method supports you to notice what is present, give space to what is ready to move and reconnect with the wisdom of your own body.

What SOULBODY BREATH® is

SOULBODY BREATH® is a structured somatic breathwork method built around four pillars: Breath, Connection, Expression and Meditation. Together, they guide participants from arriving in the body, into deeper awareness and expression, and finally back towards grounding and integration. The method offers a clear framework without expecting every person to have the same experience. The facilitator follows the structure while staying responsive to the body, nervous system and needs of the person in front of them.

WHAT MAKES IT SOMATIC?

The body is not simply where the breathing happens. It is part of how the experience is understood.

Throughout a SOULBODY BREATH® journey, participants are invited to notice sensation, emotion, energy and impulse as they arise. Movement, sound and felt-sense awareness help the body become part of the conversation, rather than something to override or analyse from a distance.

This allows the experience to be led by what is actually present, not by what someone thinks they should feel.

The Four Pilars

1. Breath

The breath connects body, mind, emotion and awareness. Intentional breathing patterns can shift our physical state, bring sensation and emotion closer to the surface and create access to what may be difficult to reach through thought alone.

2. Connection

Connection begins by slowing down enough to notice what is here. Sensation, emotion, energy and felt sense become part of the experience, helping participants relate to their body with more awareness and trust.

3. Expression

When something is ready to move, expression gives it a pathway. Movement, sound, touch and simple somatic practices can support release, regulation and a more honest response to what is present.

4. Meditation

Every journey begins and ends with awareness. Meditation supports grounding, witnessing and integration, helping the noise soften so that what feels true can become clearer.

HOW A JOURNEY UNFOLDS

A SOULBODY BREATH® journey follows a clear arc, beginning with arrival and connection before moving into active breathwork, expression and integration.

Participants are guided to notice what is present, work with the breath, allow emotion or energy to move, and return gradually to the body and room.

The structure remains consistent, but the pace and experience are shaped by the person, the group and what is unfolding in the moment.

The role of the facilitator

The facilitator is there to guide the journey without deciding what the participant should experience.

They create the structure, offer choice and pay attention to changes in breath, body and nervous-system state. They know when to encourage, when to slow down and when to leave more space.

Their role is not to create a dramatic outcome, but to help the participant stay connected to themselves throughout the process.

Safety first. Then depth.

Depth does not come from pushing people further or making a session more intense.

It becomes possible when someone feels supported enough to stay connected to themselves as sensation, emotion or energy begins to move.

SOULBODY BREATH® is guided through a trauma-informed, choice-led approach. Participants are encouraged to listen to their body, adapt the practice and pause whenever needed.

Safety is not something added around the method. It shapes the way the method is facilitated from beginning to end.

THE ELEMENTS THAT SHAPE A JOURNEY

Breath is at the centre of the method, but the wider experience is shaped by several supportive elements.

MUSIC

Music helps create rhythm and emotional movement.

TOUCH

Consensual touch may offer grounding or deeper body awareness.

SCENT

Scent shapes atmosphere, and evokes memory and emotions.

THEMEING

Themes and storytelling give the journey direction without telling you what your experience should mean.

Holding space for trauma-informed breathwork

Integration & aftercare

A session does not end when the active breathwork stops.

Integration gives the body and nervous system time to settle. It helps participants notice what has shifted, make sense of their experience and reconnect with the room before returning to daily life.

This may include meditation, grounding, reflection, journalling or a short conversation with the facilitator.

Aftercare supports the participant in carrying the useful parts of the experience forward without feeling left open, overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next.

What the practice may support

Every experience is different, and no particular outcome is expected.

Emotional expression and movement.

A stronger connection with inner wisdom.

A greater sense of presence and aliveness.

Greater awareness of the body and its signals.

Clarity around needs, patterns or decisions.

Nervous-system regulation and grounding.

GROUP JOURNEYS

Group sessions create a shared space in which each participant can have their own experience.

The facilitator guides the collective arc while offering choice and enough space for individual needs. The presence of the group can create connection, energy and a sense of being part of something larger.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

One-to-one sessions allow the journey to be shaped more closely around the individual.

There is more space for preparation, personalised pacing, direct support and integration. This can be helpful for someone exploring a specific theme or wanting a more contained experience.

WHAT PEOPLE FIND INSIDE THE WORK

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No. You can attend a SOULBODY BREATH® journey whether you are completely new to breathwork or have an established practice.

The facilitator will explain the process and offer choices throughout the session.

The method may include conscious connected breathing alongside grounding and nervous-system-supportive practices.

The exact breathing pattern and intensity depend on the session, the facilitator and the participant’s needs.

You remain in control of your participation throughout the journey.

You can slow the breath, change the practice, rest or stop at any time. The facilitator is there to support your experience, not to push you beyond your own limits.

Some active breathing practices are not suitable for certain medical conditions, during pregnancy or in particular mental-health circumstances.

You will be asked to complete a health and contraindication form before participating. The facilitator may suggest an adapted practice or recommend that you seek medical advice first.

You may notice physical sensations, emotion, changes in energy, memories, imagery or a sense of calm and clarity.

You may also have a subtle experience. There is no correct way for a session to unfold.

Give yourself time to ground, hydrate and notice how you feel.

Avoid rushing immediately into demanding tasks when possible. Your facilitator may also offer simple reflection or aftercare practices.
